Westerville Quilt Guild Committee Handbook
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
PURPOSE:
To oversee organization and operation of the
Guild.
COMMITTEE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review guild committees at the beginning of the
fiscal year and appropriate budget amounts for each committee.
- Keep guild informed of events and budgets through
the newsletter or as requested.
- Seek volunteers to fill committee positions.
- Sounding board for the guild. Act on suggestions or
problems of guild matters.
- Represents WQG (or appoint someone) to other
organizations and takes care of other business as needed.
EXEC. COMM. LEADER:
- May schedule meetings of the Executive Committee as
deemed necessary. One committee meeting will be called during December or
early January for the purpose of acquainting incoming members with their
responsibilities and to set committees and budgets for the coming fiscal
year.
- Each month a committee member communicates with the
President-of-the-Month by providing a copy of a sample agenda for conducting
a meeting and ask that person to communicate to the newsletter what the
program for the month will be and any details they want to provide about the
program.
HISTORIAN
PURPOSE:
To record the meetings and events of the Westerville Quilt
Guild through photographs and a scrapbook.
COMMITTEE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Photograph the monthly meetings and special
events.
- Create a scrapbook using photos and other
memorabilia.
SUPPLIES:
- Photo paper to print photos - Office
stores, Meijers, Cord Camera, MicroCenter, etc.

SUNSHINE COMMITTEE
PURPOSE:
To send cards and/or memorials to guild members
when necessary.
COMMITTEE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- ALL
MEMBERS OF THE GUILD ARE MEMBERS OF THIS COMMITTEE to supply information to the
chair as they become aware of a problem. If possible the member should provide details such as name and
appropriate addresses if not available on the roster.
- The
Sunshine Comm. Chair should email the Membership Person and Newsletter Person
so a mass email can be sent to all members with info such as name, nature of
need for sunshine and action being taken by the Sunshine Comm. i.e., card sent, memorial sent, etc.
- Cards
- send to members for major illness, death in immediate family, or other
circumstances deemed necessary.
- Under
special circumstances (at the discretion of the Sunshine Committee Person)
memorials or charity donations may be made. A suggested amount for
memorial/donation would be $25. Contact the treasurer to obtain the funds.
